What motivated you to look for a domestic helper?
Nicole: Since our son Sven started daycare, I have been working full time again. So far, I have done the housework at weekends and in between. In the long run, however, this is very stressful in addition to work and family. That's why we needed the help of a cleaner.
Did you have any doubts about whether a domestic helper was really the right thing for you?
Martin: Of course, after all, a complete stranger is coming into our house. That's why we concentrated our search on offers with positive evaluations and references. In addition, after an initial phone call, we always talked to the applicants in person to get a reliable impression of them.

How did the search go for you?
Martin: First we asked around among our friends for recommendations. But it turned out that many of them were either looking for a cleaning lady themselves or had had rather bad experiences.
